For a while I have been trying to figure a way to spice up and diversify our wine tasting and I remembered Bill Wilson’s wine podcast. A few years ago (2006) I listened to Bill’s podcast called “Wine for Newbies”. This podcast was a great way to learn about everything related to wine, from serving, tasting, learning about the different grapes etc. The podcast is no longer offered on itune but can be found here (unfortunately they are the new video ones not the original audio).

Fortunately I have kept all 70 + original episode and periodically listens to them. The other night after listening to the first 6 episode I decided that AWZWINEGROUP should drink our way through 32 of his episode. The way we will organize is to pick one of the 32 themes, listen to the podcast and taste the wine looking for the characteristics described by Bill. We will then blog about our experience.
